Newham Council offer English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses for individuals of all abilities.

Whether you are a complete beginner or confident speaker, there are courses available to you.

ESOL courses are recognised internationally and are designed to equip you to participate in daily life in the UK, give you employability skills particularly CV writing and interview skills.

Breaking Barriers English Programme 

Eight week buisness English course in Shoreditch, for people preparing for work in the UK. The course includes topics such as CV writing, meeting etiquette and interview practice, whilst also improving on general English language and literature. Each class will incorporate writing and speaking tasks, skills which are vial for the workplace. 

Course takes place in Shoreditch, every Saturday 10:00am-12:00pm starting on the 28th October 2017

Preparing for International English Language Testing System (IELTS test) is an eight week course which provides prepration for the IELTS exam, this is for people aiming to go into further education or applying for a job that requires the IELTS certificate. This training will focus on the skills requires by the IELTS examination process, general English, and an initial and fianal assessment. Each class will focus on strategies for a different part of the test, with thematic exercises and vocabulary. 

Course takes place in Elephant and Castle, every Wednesdays 3:00pm to 5:00pm starting on 18th October 2017.
