At Arhag, we want every resident to live in a home that is safe, dry and comfortable. Damp and mould can affect any property, especially during colder and wetter months. That is why we are continuing to take proactive steps to identify and respond to issues quickly.

We have introduced a new way to report damp and mould in your home, which helps us to track and respond quickly. As well as being able to easily tell us about any issues in your home, our heating contractors now carry out a damp and mould inspection during your annual gas safety check too. If the engineers see a problem, they report it to us straight away. This means we can act quickly and keep you informed at every step.

We take this issue seriously. For example, our contractor aims to carry out a mould-wash within 24 hours once a report is received.

Don’t forget you can report damp and mould online, using our quick and simple form:

The form goes directly to our repairs team. Once we receive it, we will arrange an inspection if needed and agree the next steps with you. We aim to respond quickly and keep you updated throughout.

You can also report damp and mould:

  • By phone: 020 7424 7370
  • By email: contact@arhag.co.uk
  • Or by speaking to a member of our team in person

Your health and safety are important to us. If someone in your household has a health condition affected by damp or mould, please include this when reporting.

What you can do at home

There are small changes that can help reduce damp and mould:

  • Open windows when cooking or showering and use extractor fans
  • Keep your home at a steady temperature, ideally between 15 and 18 degrees
  • Wipe down window frames regularly to remove condensation
  • Leave space between furniture and walls
  • Let us know if extractor fans are not working

Keeping your home safe

Damp and mould is caused by many environmental factors which can combine to cause a build-up of moisture in your home. That is why we carry out regular inspections and continue to make improvements to our homes.

When residents tell us about problems early, we can act faster and prevent them from becoming more serious. Working together helps keep homes healthy, safe and comfortable for everyone.
