Arhag Housing Association, in partnership with 5 other organisations (Praxis, Migrants Rights Network, Doctors of the World, Olmec, and IKWRO) have successfuly secured £1 million funding from the Department of Digitial, Culutre, Media and Sport.
This funding comes from the taxes paid on Tampons, and will fund a range of projects specifically for BME Women and Girls in the UK. The funding will cover;
- Employment Programme
- Digital Skills Training
- Gender Based Counseling and Advice for Women & Girls
- Health Care
- National Universal Credit & Welfare Benefits Hotline
- A Leadership Programme
The free benefits advice hotline is available to BME Women across the UK, you can access free expert advice regarding housing, Universal Credit, and Welfare Benefits. This hotline can be reached on 0800 389 0405 and is open every Tuesday from 10am-3pm.
You can also access a advice drop in centre on Thursdays from 9:30am to 12:30am at Praxis, Pott Street, Bethnal Green, E2 0EF.
