E-scooters are prohibited on our land and across our properties.

As of May 2023, it is illegal to use privately owned electric scooters on public roads, pavements, cycle lanes, cycle paths or other public spaces in the UK. However, rental e-scooters are allowed on public roads as part of government-backed trials.

As your landlord, we do not give permission to use electric scooters on our land or to store them in our properties. This includes charging the device.

We recently had a resident whose e-scooter set fire to their home when charging. They did not have household content insurance and their home is no longer habitable.

This means that they have had to source alternative accommodation which Arhag is not responsible for and they must also continue to pay their rent.

Please do not put yourself in this position. Remove all e-scooters.
